Am aflat despre acest conac frumos de la o emisiunie culturală pe care am urmărit-o într-o seară la televizor şi care m-a făcut să îmi doresc să îl vizitez cât mai repede posibil. So today story is about The Village Museum at Curtisoara (Muzeul Arhitecturii Populare de la Curtisoara), located only 10 km away from my hometown, Târgu-Jiu, the residence of the region.

The amazing scenery from the Rasnov fortress

Rasnov is one of those places that will stimulate your imagination with the beautiful setting and the stories from medieval times, when the Romanian lands were bruised by the invaders.

We visited it on the 1st of May. But we almost missed the place! We had spent the weekend near Bran area, but because it had been raining all night long, the first plan was to go back straight to Bucharest. However, the late morning got some warm rays of sun and that changed our minds. I’m sooo glad that happened!!!

Hărman and Prejmer fortified Churches – UNESCO World Heritage in Romania

The long weekend for May Day – or International Workers Day – invited us on the road again. We visited places in our beautiful country that we have never visited before: the Fortified churches of Harman and Prejmer, very close to Brasov city, enlisted as UNESCO World Heritage sites.
